Bio
I'm 24...
I'm have finished my undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University majoring in Geography with an emphasis in City & Regional planning.

I no longer know what I want to do.
I thought having a degree would bring clarity, but it has only brought more questions.
I'd like to get an advanced degree, someday.
I think a career is so much more than a job; I want to make things happen.
I want to help people and learn a few things along the way.
Taking a year off and traveling the USA and beyond is extremely appealing right now.
Such the quarter-life crisis.

I have dreams of working for a decaying urban area and bringing new life to it.
I want to redevelop what is there and make it livable and beautiful again.
I have a passion for renovation but I do not have all the skills from a degree alone.
I'd like to learn more by doing, creating, and networking.

I love the outdoors.
I enjoy learning about how things work.
I'm very curious about sustainability and how it relates to the environment and economics.
I live to drive.
I'm a pro at moving.
I miss my dog, a lot.
I'm very indecisive.
Road trips are my weakness.
I cannot go a day without a delicious cup of coffee.
I wouldn't know what to do without my camera.
Stupid movies are my guilty pleasure. (the same goes for silly pop music)
I'm ready to do something wild.

"to each their own"

"Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness."
[Robertson Davies]

"It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious."

"Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations. When you have to wait a year to sleep next to a tree, something is wrong."

"Achieving sustainable development is perhaps one of the most difficult and one of the most pressing goals we face. It requires on the part of all of us commitment, action, partnerships and, sometimes, sacrifices of our traditional life patterns and personal interests".
[Mostafa Tolba]

"However fragmented the world, however intense the national rivalries, it is an inexorable fact that we become more interdependent every day. I believe that national sovereignties will shrink in the face of universal interdependence. The sea, the great unifier, is man's only hope. Now, as never before, the old phrase has a literal meaning: We are all in the same boat."
[Jacques Cousteau]

"Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it."
